The Costa N. Miller Scholarship Award is presented to one or two outstanding human service professionals, aiding in their pursuit of professional development and higher education that benefits the individuals they serve and the human service industry. It includes a monetary award in the amount of up to one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500). The winner(s) will be announced and receive the award at the INARF Awards Luncheon on March 13, 2019, during the INARF 2019 Annual Conference at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Noblesville Indianapolis Conference Center. Last year was a year of unprecedented circumstances and it may be an opportune time to recognize those who persevered and successfully navigated change, rose above adversity, and triumphed!
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The Costa N. Miller Scholarship Award nomination must include a 300 to 500 word narrative describing the nominee's qualifications and how the scholarship award will be used to further work in the human service industry. It may also include information such as:
*Note: This year the Annual Award Luncheon Program will be enhanced by incorporating videos of each award recipient. The nomination process will not be affected.
SUBMISSION REVIEW PROCESS
All nominations are due on or before Wednesday, December 5, 2018, and will be reviewed by the Ability Indiana Board of Directors. The top four submissions chosen by the Board of Directors will be sent to Costa Miller's children for final selection. Individuals submitting nomination(s) will be notified on or before January 8, 2019 of the status of their nomination(s).
